Families Enjoying Food

On November we’re trying a fun spin on one of our current programs. Our Foodie Series for adults has been quite successful: every month we enjoy making food collaboratively, tasting our concoctions, sharing stories with one another, and learning from each other. We have created a FAMILY FOODIE program designed for youth to attend with a parent or guardian. The program will be very similar to the adult program: each month there will be a theme and as a group we’ll be creating a couple of items for people to sample and take home. This means the children will be working with various kitchen hazards each week, like knives and heat, so please keep that in mind when you consider your attendance. That said, we welcome every skill level and every age! My two-year-old ‘cooks’ with me each evening under very active supervision and has thus far *knock on wood* escaped injury. If you intend to come celebrate the art and joy of producing fantastic and tasty items, please drop us a line and let us know so we can plan ingredients appropriately.

The first program will take place on November 5th at 4:30 p.m. These usually last around an hour. The theme for this event is NOODLES!

Call the library for questions regarding this event.
